A Bit About Prakrut
Prakrut is a Postdoctoral Fellow working on seasonal and sub-seasonal streamflow forecasting in the Amazons using Land Information System (LIS). For the past three years, he has worked on diverse research topics which include water balance studies for continental scale watersheds, hydrological modeling and remote sensing of water resources.

Prakrut is passionate about understanding the impact of changing climate and increasing human-nature interaction on water availability across different parts of the world. Prakrut graduated with a Ph.D. from University of Virginia and B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with Honors from Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
In his spare time, Prakrut enjoys hiking, playing tennis and sketching. He currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia.
